Hi My name is Peter Chan, I am a visual development artist working in feature animation for the last 10 years. I have worked on films such as Spider-man: into the Spider-verse, How to train your dragon 2, Hotel Transylvania and the up coming Mitchell vs the machines.
Just like many people I also struggle with color for a very long time. In fact I wasn’t given color assignments until recent years. In the 5 week boot camp, I will share everything I know about color, painting and image making and hope you can apply the information to which ever type of creative works you do~
CLASS DETAIL AND GOALS
Just like the class title, I hope to help student become more sensitive to seeing color through simple observational painting exercises. Each week I will introduce color, lighting or design concepts through slide lecture follow by a painting demo using photo reference as a guide.
