Get into the world of production
We will be going through the creation of a complete track together, using our techniques and expertise, with a comprehensive step-by-step guide through each step of the production process. We go over the essential knowledge on acquiring a set up, from choosing a DAW and Plugins, or hardware instruments and processors, to finding the right audio interface and monitoring solutions. How to choose the right platform to work, being hardware or software based, brief description of the DAWs used at Anaweh Studio, how to avoid the traps of choice paralysis, tips on finding the right information from reputable sources, and the value of mastering your own tools. We also provide information about what plugins are, reasons for choosing either native or external plugins, and some technical background and practical information for finding the right audio interface, monitoring and acoustic solutions. Ultimately, we present some of our methods to achieve higher creativity and efficiency, based on mindfulness practices, as well as daily routines to maximize the workflow.

The Drums:
A Complete Guide
Different methods to approach the creation of a drum section, from sample based techniques to fully synthesised sounds, this is a comprehensive guide featuring the techniques we use at Anaweh Studio for our productions. In depth description of how to create kick drums, hi-hats and percussion sounds, using a mix of subtractive synthesis, FM synthesis, layering, modulation and re-sampling, including ways to process each sound using the Anaweh treatment, to create different sonic textures, and creating a whole groove using these elements.

In this module we’ll be covering our favourite mix techniques, for achieving a finalized track ready to be sent for mastering. We’ll go over different kinds of compression (multi band, parallel, limiting, bus compression), as well as different EQ types and applications, and use delays, reverbs and modulation effects to create depth and separation between elements. We also cover the basics, creating a template for an optimised workflow, and good practices before getting into the mix process.
